Public invited to free virtual Q&A with BRA

Got a question?

Write it down, so you don't forget. And keep it close because the next Brazos River Authority Brown Bag on the Brazos is around the corner.

JessicaPitmanBarton,...

The virtual event between noon and 1 p.m. Aug. 5, 2021, is designed to give another avenue for BRA staff to answer questions from the public and share insights on BRA projects. The virtual meeting is held through Microsoft Teams Broadcast, which anyone can log into to participate. Click here to join.

"The goal of this meeting is simply for us to create a reoccurring opportunity to keep you informed," BRA General Manager/CEO David Collinsworth said. "Whether you are our customers, citizens of Texas or anybody that is interested in water."

Past Brown Bags have included questions from the public about dam gate openings, parks, board meetings, property, water dedication and more.

Each Brown Bag on the Brazos discusses topics from the previous Board of Directors meeting and provides project and water supply updates to keep the public informed on their status.

At the upcoming Aug. 5 meeting, BRA Chief Financial Officer David Thompson will share information about the 2022 fiscal year budget, which the Board recently approved at its July 26 meeting. You can view the annual budget here.

BRA Water Services Manager Aaron Abel will share an update on the Brazos River basin's water supply.

Check out questions asked and answered during past Brown Bags here, where you can also watch prior events.
