Words to inspire, educate, inform

Need someone to explain to your class how the water that flows from your faucets is cleaned? Or speak to your community group about the importance of water conversation? Maybe you’d like to hear who uses the most water in the Brazos River basin. (hint, it’s not who you think.

The Brazos River Authority has you covered.

If you’re hosting an event within the Brazos River basin on water-related topics and need a speaker, consider an expert from the BRA.

The BRA Speakers Bureau can provide a professional to speak on various topics ranging from living on a lake, water planning, water and wastewater treatment, how the system of reservoirs along the basin work together, and so much more.

The speakers, who are from varied backgrounds and locations within the Brazos River Authority and Brazos River basin, are available to speak at your event free of charge. Past speaking events have included civic club meetings, chambers of commerce meetings, schools, and garden clubs, to name a few.

Created by the Texas Legislature in 1929, the BRA is the first government entity in the United States created specifically to develop and manage the water resources of an entire river basin. Today the BRA develops and distributes water supplies, provides water and wastewater treatment, monitors water quality, and pursues water conservation through public education programs.
