The Brazos River Authority will open one gate at Possum Kingdom Lake's Morris Sheppard Dam, at 8 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, for a release of about 9,300 cubic feet per second. The gate is expected to remain open for about eight hours.
Be alert for rising water conditions in the Brazos River.
The release will take about 36 - 40 hours to reach Lake Granbury. Once the water arrives at Lake Granbury, the DeCordova Bend Dam will safely pass through the release.
