RFP No. 26-1391 Freshwater Mussel Survey and Aquatic Species Relocation Services

Description: BRA is currently requesting qualifications and proposals from qualified firms with specialized expertise in freshwater mussel surveys and aquatic resource relocation in streams, rivers, and reservoirs in support of environmental permitting and compliance activities for BRA operations and projects, as needed. The work will generally consist of surveys to determine the presence or absence of freshwater mussel species, provide population estimates if present, and in the event that relocation is required, assist BRA staff with permitting and approvals and perform the relocation. The Firm will also be responsible for creating all documentation necessary for reporting to relevant regulatory agencies. Freshwater mussel survey work and relocations require expertise and qualifications to perform underwater, scientific dives. Should projects require relocation of non-mussel aquatic species, the Firm will: (a) assist BRA staff with permitting and approvals;(b) either perform the relocation or assist BRA staff perform the relocation; and (c) create all documentation necessary for reporting to relevant regulatory agencies.

Description: The Brazos River Authority (BRA) is currently requesting proposals for electrical engineering and SCADA support services from individuals or Firms (together “Firms”). The BRA does not guarantee any specific quantity of work will be provided during the term of the agreement. The Firm(s) selected will enter into an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Professional Services Contract and shall thereafter, upon request perform professional services. As mechanical engineering services are required during the period of the agreement, an individual task order will be negotiated with the selected provider. These services will be required at facilities operated by the BRA throughout the Brazos River Basin including but not limited to Dams; Water Treatment, Pump Station, and Transmission facilities; Wastewater Collection, Treatment, and Pump Station facilities.

RFP No. 26-1378 DeCordova Bend Dam Bridge Load Rating IDIQ

Description: The purpose of this RFP is to select an engineering firm(s) based on their qualifications and experience of the firm’s personnel to perform bridge load rating analyses at DeCordova Bend Dam. The Firm selected will enter into an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Professional Services Contract and shall thereafter, upon request, perform bridge load rating services. Scope of Services A general scope of services will be developed in conjunction with a cost reimbursable contract between the BRA and the selected Engineering Firm(s). The following is an overview of services that may be required, but not limited to: a. Work with the BRA to develop a scope of services and not-to-exceed fee for proposed services a. for each project. b. Review existing documentation. c. Conduct site visit(s) as necessary to verify geometry, dimensions, material properties, and conditions not adequately documented. d. Perform nondestructive testing where necessary to confirm material properties. e. Perform load rating analyses in accordance with current AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation and applicable TXDOT Load Rating Manual for equipment such as trucks, tractors, cranes, etc. f. Analyze both inventory and operating ratings. g. Develop bridge model(s). h. Provide load rating summary report(s) that are signed and sealed by a qualified structural engineer licensed in the State of Texas. i. Provide third party expert opinion for other load rating analyses for facilities throughout the Brazos River basin. Work under the anticipated contract will be billed on a cost reimbursable basis. Hourly costs for Firms staff will be included as an attachment to the contract and will be changed only by prior approval of the BRA. Each specific assignment will be set out in a Service Order under the Contract, and the scope and not-to-exceed fee for such Service Order will be negotiated in advance and approved individually by the BRA.
