Upper Basin

 

  • GRANBURY – Granbury, A Candlelight Tour
    Dec. 6 – 8, 1 p.m.
    During this event, the community bands together in an assemblage of lights, carriage rides, Christmas carols and treats. The city comes to life with an air of the days of old and the miracle of the Christmas spirit, brought to you by the Historic Granbury Merchants Association.   • WEATHERFORD – Christmas on the Square
    Dec. 7, 10 a.m., Downtown Weatherford
    The Christmas parade begins at 10 am and will go around the courthouse. Shop vendors and downtown merchants. Christmas carolers, ice sculpting, snow globe, costumed characters and Children's activities. Admission is free!
  • LUBBOCK – Santa Land
    Dec. 10 - 23, 6 p.m. at Mackenzie Park, 301 I-27 in Lubbock
    Lubbock Parks and Recreation has hosted Santa Land for the past 62 years, and admission for all ages is free. Santa Land is open every evening from December 10-23 from 6 to 10 p.m. nightly. Approximately 50,000 people visit Santa Land each year to see the festive holiday village with its huge lighted Christmas tree, animated displays, bonfires, traditional holiday scenes, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Central Basin

  • KILLEEN – Holiday Under the Stars
    Dec. 6, 6 – 9 p.m., Killeen Community Center
    This free, family-friendly event will include a Christmas tree lighting, a visit from Santa and his reindeer, an inflatable snow globe and so much more! For a full list of events, click

  • WACO – Christmas Lights in the Village
    Dec. 13, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Mayborn Museum
    Slow down your holiday season with a relaxing stroll through the village that will include a hands-on petting zoo, photo-op visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, food for purchase from local vendors, live music and more!
  • TEMPLE – Bend of the River Christmas
    Dec. 21, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., 7915 S. General Bruce Drive, Temple
    Get your tickets early for this hometown holiday event that will feature two snow slides, cowboy Santa, barrel train along with a snow party and tons more activities! All activities are included in the price of the ticket. Tickets go on sale Dec. 1 online

  • MEXIA – Merry Christmas Festival
